Introduction |
|
National Academy for Computer Training and Research is an autonomous educational and computer
training institution. The acronym of this academy is NACTAR. The
academy is controlled by the Ministry of Education of the Govt.
of peoples republic of Bangladesh.It was established in 2005, by
the act no. 12 of 2005. Before that the name of this academy was
National Training and Research Academy for Multilingual
Shorthand (NTRAMS) and was established in 1983 based on
shorthand, type writing and secretarial science training. To run
the academic activities smoothly there is a Board of Governors
comprising of 15 members.

| AIM AND OBJECTIVES |
 |
To conduct research, education and training program on
computer technology and enhance its improvement. |
|
To prepare, conduct and evaluate computer training
syllabus for the personnel engaged in the government, semi
government, autonomous and non government institution of
Bangladesh. |
|
To evaluate and award Diploma and certificates among the
persons who completed the training and education courses
offered by the academy. |
|
To fix fees for the training courses examination and
Diploma and certificates organized by the academy. |
|
To arrange training & research program on computer
technology and ICT according to the demand of the public
and private organization of Bangladesh. |

Three storied building with 11(eleven) rooms for Director,
Deputy Director, Senior Instructor, Instructor, Assistant
Instructor and Administrational offices. |

Three Storied building with 20 rooms for class rooms, computer
labs, type writing labs, library and common room. |

|
NACTAR has a well-decorated library having 6000 books of various
categories. Near about 50 readers can use the library at a time. |
|
Hostel |
|
To
give the boarding facilities of the trainees’ the academy has
two four-storied hostel buildings, one for male trainees and
other for female trainees. The seat capacity of male hostel is
180 and that of the female hostel is 40. There are also 10
comfortable and well-decorated rooms for VIP Guests |
|
Cafeteria |
|
The academy has a well furnished cafeteria from where the
trainees can take their food during training period. about 150
Person can use the cafeteria at a time. |
|
Conference Hall |
|
On
the first floor of the cafeteria building there is a modern
air-conditioned conference hall having 250-seat capacity for
seminar, symposium and workshops. |
|
Medical Unit |
|
To
ensure primary medical support to the students, trainees and
employees of the academy there is a medical unit under the
supervision of an M.B.B.S Doctor. |
